Andy Kaufman's Lost Lincoln Footage

In his early days as a performance artist, Andy Kaufman would take to the stage and announce to the audience that he had very rare 16mm footage of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln that was shot by an early cinematic pioneer named Frederick Astor.

He would then show the rare and shocking footage, and most of the audience would be in tears by the time it was over. Andy solemnly concluded the showing by offering up a group prayer to the martyred president, and the stunned and saddened audience reverently joined in.

This is the documentary footage that Kaufman showed his audience ... the Zapruder film of the 1800s.
