Allman Brothers Band, segments from The Fillmore East 1970 & Macon, Georgia 1973.

It was a hot Sunday afternoon, June 11, 1972, 110 on I10, to a concert at Hofheinz. Some british jazz electric guitarist name of John McLaughlin that we heard got so messed up he fell off stage somewhere and the Mahavishnu Orchestra whatever the Hell a Mahavishnu was, Doctor John the Night Tripper we knew was going to be a ride, and the Allman Brothers. Duane was gone but Dickey learned from the best so....

Didn't understand much of what the first band was about. Incredible players but...? Dr. John came out and played his whole set wearing a training cape of feathers....par. The Allman Brothers...were...The Allman Brothers.

Happy Birthday Gary Wayne.
