Aerosol Arabic - Contemporary Islamic Art

AerosolArabic is the artwork of artist Mohammed Ali. Born and raised in Birmingham, UK. His work is influenced by both Urban-Street graffiti as well classical islamic calligraphy, himself being once part of the underground graffiti scene within the UK, but has since left this and concentrated on painting canvas and exhibiting his work throughout the UK as well as abroad.

Mohammed Ali has studied art from a young age, and continued this throughout his studies. Eventually Mohammed went onto studying Multimedia Design at University.

After graduating he worked as a graphic designer for a record company, and then working for a games company designing graphics for games. The influence from digital design and computer graphics has been a big factor his style of painting, as well as the urban-graffiti style from earlier years.

Today the art of Mohammed Ali has proved to be popular with people of all faiths and cultures and his work can be seen in exhibitions across the country.

Desi DNA is a British television show covering Desi (British Asian) culture, issues and music.

The show currently broadcasts on BBC Two and is co-presented by Adil Ray and Anita Rani with occasional contributions by Nikki Bedi, Nihal and Bobby Friction and a number of other presenters.
