If Walmart Paid Its Employees a Living Wage

Mashiki says...

Crap video full of crap. And I've worked in the US myself, and lived most of my life in Canada(being Canadian).

Even up here in Canada, Walmart pays more than the min. wage. Hell it pays more than the average local store, or even larger stores, chain stores, or other bigbox retail stores for PT/FT in terms of wages.

Example in Ontario: Walmart starting wage: 13.25/hr(current min wage 10.25/hr), FT/PT, not counting benefits.
Gas station attendant: 10.55-12.08/hr
Large bigbox store sale clerk: 10.85/hr
L-BB Manager: 13.85-15.80/hr
Mom&pop specialized clerk: 10.85-12.10/hr
Fast food: 10.25-12.10/hr
Non-unionized janitors: 10.25-13/hr
Managers fast food: 13-15/hr
Regional Managers Fast food: 14.25-25.30/hr
Managers Walmart: 16.25-25/hr
Regional managers Walmart 18.80-27.80/hr

And...on top if that here, if you need a hand go to the damned food bank. And stop blowing your money on the latest gadets.

Why People Should Be Outraged at Zimmerman's 'Not Guilty'

Mashiki says...

Odd that I can remember when sift was moderatly decent, and didn't go off into the deep end of failing to understand the law. It's also useful to note after watching the video, that the entire opinion piece is missing some key facts. Such as, Martin was known to police. The only reason why he didn't have a felony rap sheet was because the "juvenile justice" program kept him out of the courts. Fun to note that if you pay attention between what this guy is saying, and look at the physical evidence about 30-40% of what has been said is either a distortion, or a lie.

It's also fun to know that you don't always do a toxicology report on the person who shoots, especially on grounds of self-defense. It's even more fun, to note that he wasn't arrested because the police found no probable cause to do so. It wasn't until the DOJ got involved, along with POTUS to make it into a racial issue--that it happened.

Now it's even greater that Angela Corey failed to meet the grounds for an affidavit for probable cause. Instead directly mislead, and lied in the one that was submitted. The entire case was a sham trial, and if you'd rather believe what some flappy headed person NBC, or CNN, or YT is telling you, then feel free to wallow in your own ignorance.

Media Have Become an "Enemy of the American People"

Mashiki says...

>> ^dystopianfuturetoday:

Bullshit.
AIM is a corporate front group funded by the Oil Industry. Last I checked, the Oil Industry was not super concerned with "Accuracy In Media."
The items this guy (a FOX NEWS analyst) is screaming about are conservative talking points that have been featured extensively on FOX, among other corporate media outlets.
This presentation (and organization) is every bit a part of the machine it pretends to protest.
I agree with the hyperbolic sentiment of the title, but not the hypocrisy within.
Yeah that's funny. Next you'll be telling us that media matters is a fully non-partisan group that isn't funded by george soros, and hasn't been having pow-wows with the white house on how to spin the news. And that fast and furious didn't result in the deaths of 300 mexicians, the death of an american, and the cold blooded gunning down of 16 kids at a party either.

I suggest watching the full 30min speech instead of the four minute clip, it's much better.

Obama: Don't Boo, VOTE

Lets get it over with so we can start the socialist revolution for real truth and justice in the world.
Yeah that socialist revolution is working pretty well in Europe. So how's greece today anyway? Oh and how far are you willing to go? Your avatar seems rather succinct, going to give the o'l college try and just dive into communism while we're at it? Ah what's another 150-250m dead anyway.

Pft. Real justice. Okay there, I'm constantly reminded that the sift is full of people who believe that their ideals are full of "reality" until they come into contact with just how cold and realistic the world really is once they're in it.

Tyre Slasher Kharma.

Mashiki says...

>> ^renatojj:

Wow... that was so unbelievable I have to call it fake. Doesn't matter if it actually happened, that's some real fake shit right there.

Never worked in either a tire change shop, or apprenticed as a mechanic huh? So back in my mid teens I was working in one, we had this retread come in. This was back before the government mandated that all 2nd retreads had to be tubed. While the air was going into the tire, the retread blew and took the machine out. Well there went $18k. We found chunks of aluminum from the machine in the concrete walls of the shop. We were lucky no one was seriously injured or killed, but shit like that does happen from time to time.

A car tire can blow out your eardrum, a truck tire can take out chunks of your arm if you're unlucky, it will break it easily enough. Hell, I've had a truck tire blow out the side window in my car from the air pressure on the highway when they went.

Really? I seem to remember dozens of forum posts from liberals whining over the renewal of the patriot act. And I remember even more whining about if Bush won again. Of course nothing actually came of it. But to point out the obvious here, the liberal left does whine like small kids over things like this, especially when it benefits society as a whole, and voter ID laws do benefit everyone.

No pretty sure I'm not. Pretty sure I remember the last 10 years pretty well, especially the previous election minus Obama pretty good too.

Hey did you catch this, looks like those voter ID laws might just be a good idea after all.

In other news, liberals everywhere who threatened to run to Canada, discover that Canada has a VoterID law already in place. Their world is shattered instantly.

I hate to sound so blatantly over-patriotic, but Americans who would run to another country just because a law got passed should (maybe) not be Americans.

Odd. I thought it was far-left liberals who were in support of removing bestiality laws. In the alternate universe where this is possible, I can already see the SCC arguments. I've got the bird parts, I should be able to marry that there Emu.

Reid Hitting Romney Hard Over (Possibly) Unpaid Taxes

Mashiki says...

>> ^nock:

Interesting, but invalid point Mashiki. In the case of Reid, he may or may not beat his wife, hard to prove either way. But with Romney, there is an easy answer to prove how much tax he paid - release the returns.

Really? Because this is birther level material that he's "hinting" at. The fact that the left is harping over it in the same way is just as telling. And should be dismissed just as much. Either that, or various members of obama's cabinet should come clean first on all of their taxes. And Obama should come clean on all of his law review papers first.

"The Force Is STRONG With This One"!!!

Hitting a pedestrian on a crosswalk is generally frowned upon no matter how stupid the pedestrian is.

Let me grab my trusty traffic act, ahh..nope. Not here(Ontario). Here, a pedestrian is required to ensure that they are crossing safely, and with due care and consideration for others. And crossing into an intersection, even a marked intersection which where other traffic has the right of way automatically puts you into fault.

Reid Hitting Romney Hard Over (Possibly) Unpaid Taxes

Mashiki says...

>> ^nock:

It's a win-win for Reid. Either he goes on saying Mittens is dirty until it sticks or Romney releases his returns and gets made out to be a sleazy bastard anyways since he probably legally paid 15% or much less.

Obviously Reid has a serious Pederasty issue he needs to clear up. And it's up to him to prove it, I heard that it's true. And he still beats his wife, so when is he going to come clean and stop beating his wife?

How to Help a Drunk Person Open Their Car

Mashiki says...

>> ^braschlosan:

Fuck that. If I go to my car when I'm drunk ITS SO I CAN SLEEP IT OFF IN WARMTH AND SAFETY.

Some useful info for you to know. In Canada, don't do this, it's the same as getting behind the wheel intoxicated. Even if you have no intention of driving. Intent is 9/10ths of the law on this.

Unless, of course, you can smell huge amounts of alcohol on his breath.

Another useful tip: Diabetics who are having a high blood sugar reaction have a fruity to raunchy alcohol smell to their breath. Almost like wine, sometimes beer, or other spirits. Telling the difference for most people is almost impossible.

Hey you forgot to mention the third way. It's allowed, but only under certain circumstances. It's shorts and short-sleeves, and it has to be snowing outside.
