EA in a Nutshell

"Undeserved Profit"? Pretty sure no one has ever been forced to buy things from them. I'm not sure if he's insinuating they've committed some type of fraud, but from the context of the video I think he's making a value judgement.

The idea that Steam is a small player, 100% squeaky clean and all about the customer? Well, they're a damn-sight better than most of their competitors, but I point you to their allowance of regional pricing hikes as one example (see the Australian store). As for their size, Steam sales equate to approximately 70+% of all digital sales, I think they're gonna be okay next to Origin.

BTW, no one has forced anyone to use Origin. As much as I want to play BF3, ME3, etc., I've managed to go without buying games released on it (and that doesn't mean pirating them either). If it's really a problem for you, show some self control.

For that matter, if you don't agree with their treatment of workers, there's another reason not to use their products.

Vote with your wallets, look elsewhere for your entertainment. There's a veritable Golden-Age of independent games going on all around you!

New Black Panthers offer reward for capture of Zimmerman

This is where it starts. Where the rule of law is applied unevenly and the delivery of justice not done, vigilantism will arise.

Zimmerman best be arrested quick smart.

I absolutely do not blame the child for her behaviour here. She is clearly the result of horrible parenting, which for her whole life has been enabling a perpetual child-like state of mind.

Wikipedia Drops GoDaddy Over SOPA -- TYT

BoneyD says...

>> ^srd:

Two things that irritate me a bit about this commentary:
a) they gloss over the fact that GoDaddy was involved (some say their legal department directly, others say via lobbyists) in writing the draft AND they are themselves exempt from SOPA, and
b) didn't TYT have a GoDaddy affiliate program at one point? Is it still active? If so, are they going to drop it in response?
For some reason, I expected a bit more of TYT on this count.

He did mention this on the show the next day that they did indeed once get sponsorship from GoDaddy, however they have since ceased this arrangement with them (well before the SOPA thing started).

Sorry, totally late response here Need to check comments more often!

Thanks though, and yes there should be such a club, though I imagine Dr Drew would ridicule that too.

Are you a socialist?". I for one think they did kill Bin Laden, since for him to show up alive later would be very embarrassing. But questioning that doesn't mean someone's character should be assassinated. These questions about her marriage break-up and how her cause has kept her from her children were hardly genuine inquiries after her health. Drew was impugning her abilities as a responsible parent and 'dutiful wife', just like they did with the Occupy mother.

For all the positivity in his rhetoric, the simple fact still remains that Obama (and the DNC) has already collected more in campaign contributions from Wall Street than all of the Republican candidates combined. They WILL come to collect on that debt.

My assumption is that he doesn't know about Apple's business practices beyond the advertising campaigns. He's likely getting at the idea how this new technology is breaking down the barriers to communication and people are able to organise themselves like never before.
