Hahaha! That was the exact same reaction I had.

Man that last 0.5 seconds is a pisser. I love the way the guy shakes his finger at him and puts his hands on his hips like "Naughty, naughty"

oh sweet. I keep thinking I should try to catch up with that, but it's pretty daunting at this juncture.. I've been keeping up with one piece, but I'm a couple months behind, and I read the Berserk manga for ages until I couldn't find the releases anymore.. Haven't read one of those maybe 4 years or so. I always meant to get caught up on soul eater too, but again made it somewhere into the middle and just lost hold of it.

In reply to this comment by kronosposeidon:
Good guess, but no, he's a new/old character. He's Tensa Zangetsu - a new, altered form of old man Zagetsu (?) or another form of Ichigo's inner hollow(?):

http://www.onemanga.com/Bleach/409/09/

He's so new that no one is quite sure what he is exactly - a higher level or second release of Ichigo's bankai maybe? Who knows.

And yeah, I'm a nerdlinger who has stuck it out this long for Bleach. Frankly I'm a little tired of it too, but I just want to see how it ends, which always seems like it's around the corner. Hell, they'll milk it out another 5 years if they can.

I need a life.

In reply to this comment by residue:
Thank you sir, and is that uuuuunnnnnnnnnnngggggggg can't...recall....name..........Rukia's brother? If it is he looks different than I remember, but I lost track of that show/manga a while ago

Hey, I just noticed you got your gold star. And it only took me a month.

Congrats.

Sounds good, hombre.

I need to watch myself, too. I'm so mad...I'm like an open sore sometimes, and I fly off the handle when little things rub me wrong...sort of like when somebody pats you on the back when ya have a sunburn.

Cheers, Truckchase!

I'll drink a shot of Cuervo in your honor.

I agree with you; I'm sorry I was so abrupt with my comment. I do agree that the content was very important. The comment came from a place of fear honestly. We're fighting cultural battles on so many fronts that I feel overwhelmed. I'll try to put my comments (jokes included) in a little better context in the future with the understanding that relative strangers don't know that I'm not a Beck/Limbaugh follower.

In reply to this comment by rougy:
I didn't specifically call you an asshole, but the humor reminded me of something that real assholes would say like O'Reilly or Beck or Hannity or five dozen other internet pundits who think things are going great in Afghanistan.

Yes, his voice was high and a little embarrassing to me, but his words were spot on. It reminds me of when Howard Dean got squashed because of the pitch of his yell at a rally. There are other examples, too, of how something superficial totally derailed what would otherwise have been a valid progressive opinion or candidate.

Our country puts show over substance, and it's killing us. Millions of people actually think that Sarah Palin is a viable presidential candidate. I find the notion horrifying.

I admit, I go berserk sometimes. I'm in my late forties and I've never seen this country more askew than it is today. Nothing seems to help. It just slowly keeps getting worse and I honest to god fear for our future.

In reply to this comment by Truckchase:
I'm fine with that... humor is all relative after all, but would you mind not calling me an asshole? I assure you the joke wasn't based off the content.

Not as rough as having to live with the assholes who think that what he said was funny.

Really? A downvote AND that comment? Do you think you're taking yourself any my comment a bit too seriously? Is that the sort of attitude that can help this country and our current state of affairs? You won't win any converts by being mean to people trying to lighten the mood, and I suspect I'm already on "your side". Chill out doctor.
edit: reworded "being a prick"; language too strong. Srry; I was just very disappointed to see that comment...

I didn't downvote you, but no, I didn't think your comment was funny.

Sorry, maybe next time.

Was flipping through the channels last night and saw that asshole Bill O'Reilly lying to the nation again in regards to this video.

It's just not a joking matter with me.

I was going to address this in my video comment but it would've gotten too long-winded.

"Clear thinking" is not always what we want. Sometimes the facts would hinder our ability to be motivated or to act in our best self-interest. Like ancient berserkers (visual aid to the right)--if they were thinking clearly they wouldn't be able to fight as well as they did. They would accept the inevitability of their death against unfavorable odds. Instead, with a little "magical thinking," they had access to all the ability their brain and body could muster.

I think religion, spirituality, and magical thinking make up the language that the conscious mind uses to address the subconscious (and maybe more, but that's a different debate).

when you're in that state of puppy love you're not thinking as clearly.

WET - Shot At Love Trailer

ponceleon says...

Amusing, but I'm surprised they didn't show the game itself.

I've seen some gameplay videos and it actually does look very amusing. Kinda has a Kill Bill feel to it, especially when she goes into her "berserk" mode.

Have you seen Trine?
http://www.videosift.com/video/Trine-Gameplay-Teaser-Trailer-2008-PSN-PC

It's an absolutely gorgeous puzzle platformer with heavy emphasis on physics that was recently released to rave reviews. I finished it a couple of days ago - and loved it, loved it, loved it Highly recommended.

In reply to this comment by BoneyD:
I've long thought that with the advances in computer software/hardware/etc. that they should make an old platformer style game (which remains a very playable and entertaining game style) with berserk graphics quality.

Sure, there's been some really great 3D FPSs and third person person games made... but with the reduced requirement on processing for that depth dimension, imagine the possible quality of a sidescrollers we might've seen!

I'm very glad to finally be seeing some of these emerge with something approaching mainstream appeal. I really hope this genre makes a very solid comeback and that games can be judged by more than just their polygon counts.

it's about 8 years old now...

a mix between cycling through old hard drives to patch the problem, a mother board that's probably not doing so hot, and constantly battling spyware/viruses. I could never really get a good load of XP anymore because of the crappy drives and every program was crashing or wouldn't load.

I wound up going level 9 berserk with a screw driver

In reply to this comment by EndAll:
yeah, I don't have LoD though.. so it's pretty shitty. I dunno what prompted me to start again.. maybe news of D3. what happened to your comp?

In reply to this comment by rottenseed:
wow that's uncanny. I did the same around the same time. Until my computer took a shit.

I started Diablo again about a month ago, too, for the first time in years.. getting tired of it though. You leveled quick!

I've only recently developed an interest in Anime. Berserk is my favorite series so far, watched it dubbed. Also enjoyed Cowboy Bebop.

Iranian Election: Riot Police Caught by Crowd

conan says...

first of all i'd say it's a pretty stupid idea as an officer to go between a mob on a bike. you are a more than easy target.

second i wonder why the commentary was in italian (i suppose).

third it's very moving to see that even in such a "heated" atmosphere there still are people not forgetting their humanity. go protest, it is your right as citizen. but don't go berserk on officials etc., otherwise you'll lose your moral highground (and going crazy is a no-no anyway of course).

The Role Play Tournament

Be aggressive, B-E aggressive.
Be aggressive, B-E aggressive.

Just one girlie at the tourney and it's kill or be killed.
The Dungeon Master is the bastard known as Pliny the Ill
but I, I could feel it coming through the air that night.
Oh Lord, my sword's out. Jesus, just avert Your eyes.

Took me years to develop these skills.
I'm untouchable thanks to these pills.
The way's paved with knaves that I've horribly slain.
See me coming, better run for those hills. Listen up now.

You got me killing, uh.
You got me blind to feelings.
I crush your face, I take your jewels, you have no way of dealing.

Be aggressive, B-E aggressive.
Be aggressive, B-E aggressive.

"Mirror mirror, uh, up on the wall, uh,
who's the baddest motherfucker of them all, uh?
Just like Columbus, uh, he get the bloodlust, uh.
Just like Columbus he get murderous on purpose."

You got me hurting, uh.
You got me pulling curtains.
You sucking chili dogs while I go on my crazed berserking.

Be aggressive, B-E aggressive.
Be aggressive, B-E aggressive.

10s and 20s, what's so funny, fucking 20 10?
Sweet Jesus, please just get me through this. Take me home again.
But I'm all up in the Deathworld, snap.
Rub a bump in the Deathworld, shit.
I'm all heavy with the winnings not to mention all the sinning and I lost it in the Deathworld, crap.

In the Valley of the Shadow a Boobery attacked.
He was the hitman of the girlie, who survived to the last.
She was the cutest necromancer, I ever did see.
I almost wished myself to die so she could win the whole thing, but

Be aggressive, B-E aggressive.
