Yeah, it struck me along the lines of an old Gary Larson cartoon, where a dog is listening to his master:
"blah blah blah blah blah blah blah Spot blah blah blah blah Spot blah blah blah"

So I just reversed it.

This is one of the best comments I've ever seen.

"...and then I said to her 'Wow, what did you do to your hair?!' and she said 'Do you like it?' and I said 'Oh [[Momma]]! Do I ever!' and then she pulled me over to the closet and started to show me all her new clothes. They were fabulous! She had a new summer dress, and the shoes! I never knew you could have so many. So then we went out to lunch, and we took her MG, you know, that kind of car where the motor goes [[buh buh buh buh]].

Yeah, we met Luke and Chloe there, but Chloe was already eating a [[banana]]. I couldn't believe it! I was like 'Chloe! I thought we were supposed to have lunch?!' and she said 'I know, I know!' and started waving her arms like this! Anyways, so then we ......"

To answer your question, VideoSift might be more diverse if sifters weren't so very good at alienating religious people. Most sifters are cool, but sometimes they fall short of my expectations. Clever to moderately idiotic Atheist videos are lovingly sifted. All videos that portray religious people as idiots are fondly adorned with self-congratulatory comments as they make their way to #1. Religioius discussions rarely go anywhere before one or several people jump in and attempt to make the offending believer into mincemeat. If this cannot be accomplished, personal attacks are in order.

I agree. On the one hand there's the "if it's not broken, don't fix it," ideology, but on the other hand, just because it's not broken doesn't mean you can't make it better. I think they're making some really great music still, but they haven't really pushed the envelope like they used to. It doesn't stop me from enjoying their music, but I would definitely like to see them try something new and fresh.

I agree that they're awesome. I'm partial to The Photo Album because my brother used to listen to their earlier albums and I wasn't into them until The Photo Album came out. I feel like they haven't really changed and developed as a band since Transatlanticism, though. I love bands that are always trying new stuff, and I'm waiting for something fresh and different from them right about now.

The one with the rabbits. I used that song to get my girlfriend into DCFC, and it has a really special meaning for me about my relationship with her. I'm a hopeless romantic, lol. I haven't seen all of the videos on Directions yet, because I don't have the DVD (I plan to get it eventually), so I haven't seen the Different Names for the Same Thing video yet. Every song off of Plans and Transatlanticism is pure gold to me though. I would probably put one of those two as one of my favorite ten albums of all time. Amazing, amazing music. Gibbard has the voice of an angel, lol.
