winkler1thanks a bunch!
rottenseedThat was in the 10% that I do like about him. That special encompasses the full range of what I do like about him and what I don't. People hate me for not being totally stoked over Robin Williams. People have a weird affinity towards him. I think it has to do with "Mork & Mindy" turning him into the "people's pet".

I don't like Robin Williams about 90% of the time, but his opening couple of jokes were pretty funny.
Have you seen him talk about golf? This guy is brilliant, too bad he's in so many mediocre movies..

Julia Sweeney is probably a wonderful person, but seriously, with that voice, I have trouble with a 2-minute interview
You sifted a video of a Sam Harris speech at the AAI a few months ago. Julia Sweeney's intro, lasting around four minutes, felt like eternity compared to the following 35 minute speech of Harris.
The point of aforementioned speech was a rather interesting one as well, maybe you might want to give it another shot: http://www.videosift.com/video/Sam-Harris-about-Atheism
Christopher Hitchens' speech at the very same event was of a different kind entirely, but interesting nonetheless. Might be worth sifting ...

His name is Barack and its spelled with capped letters like most names.. "barrack obama" is just lazy, dude, fix title.. and "fox news" is called Fox News , we have to be fair and balanced here, after all
"Basically communists" lol wtf.. We are far from communism, let me tell ya, but here both Obama and Hillary would be seen as extremely conservative rightwingers..

rossprudenHey there --
I noticed that you voted for the trailer for 10 MPH (about a Segway roadtrip across America) a while ago...
Well, the filmmakers have posted the ENTIRE FILM online and I just submitted it to the Sift. Enjoy!

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face, FOREVER.
-George Orwell, 1984
That line to me is the most memorable in the entire book. You nailed it right on the head.
sbchapmThanks! I thought, awhile ago, I just need to get to 10, and I'll be fine. But no. I must get a higher and higher number now. I'm an addict. Thanks again.

Grats on the 100, man, I'm not too far off myself now
In reply to this comment by sbchapm:
I'm glad you liked it. I'm afraid it will become my 100th video. I was hoping for something classy like "This Must Be the Place" by Talking Heads something noble and true. But no. It's someone knocking their own self out.

While I do not personally know whether or not miraculous intervention is possible, I don't see any reason to believe it has happened so far in the course of evoltution.
It takes a bit of time to explain, I recommend you read one or two books on evolution/natural selection to understand, but to give a brief answer as I can(in retrospect it got pretty long, sorry): ...
[clip]
Your original comment made it sound as if evolution proves the existence of God to be an impossibility (or perhaps I just read it that way). If that is the case, I don't see how natural selection (which we know to be true) proves the absence of God. Evolution and natural selection do not speak to the origins of life, only its development over time.
If that is not the stance you were taking, well then never mind.
