The best golfer, probably ever.

vil says...

From my golfing experience I am pretty sure which golfer type Trump is. The type that uses every obscure local rule to gain an advantage, is willing to ignore any rule to help himself, puts down opponents at any opportunity and is ungracious in defeat. The type you never want to play against. Put down money to play him? Why?

Peyton Manning enjoys being on the winning team. Good for him.

Dana Quigley confirms the POTUS can actually hit a ball which does not surprise me as I wrote in the description. I am not saying Trump cant play, I just believe he has the self-discipline (and education) of a six-year-old.

John Daly says Bill Clinton is worse? How does that make Trump not awful? Vote for Trump, he cheats less than Bill Clinton!

Judge Barrett isn't worth considering

The justification is simple, really. It does not matter.

I have been noticing this brashness in political appointments of officials on all levels not just in the US and I believe it stems from the advances in marketing in recent decades.

There is an obvious sub-set of obscure qualifications that are now necessary to hold office:

- do you cater to the ruling mob?
- do you have a cult following?
- do you look good on camera?
- are you willing to say anything?
- are you loyal to the grave?

So id say its a pass. An easy pass.

Everything else can be glossed over by manipulation and careful editing. And good make-up artists.

You know I'm always good for obscure words and things.

Now to continue the volcanology lesson, lahar .
I'll save you the trip to Google, volcanic floods usually caused by glacial melt from the heat of eruptions, which makes a super abrasive slurry flood that's essentially wet concrete made of volcanic dust, pumice, and trees...and often people.

Great idea and looks pretty, but I have a special dislike for quick cuts in trailers and fight scenes, and here it completely obscures the whole point of the game.

Looking forward to seeing more of it though.

B.K.: have been looking at your avatar. did you notice the negative space between the blue shield and red stripes? it's like a shaft of light passing through his ears. his head obscures all the letters except 'T' & 'P': coincidence? 6 stars could mean less than half of the 13 stars of the original flag or 46.1% (~the percentage of votes he received). the stripes...idk..but they do look like bars, which works.

Policeman Just Hanging Out While On Duty

dude. it's a bit ironic that you seem to display the same dark cynicism which you describe as being at fault for the situation you describe.
While I don't exactly disagree with your sentiment I sincerely hope it was just a spur of late night "bwah, world is grim".
Help someone if you can - don't underestimate the impact of leading by example - and if you wait for someone to define who needs to "logically begin" or what the implications of some obscure system are nothing's going to change,

I know what you mean.

I'll stoop to watch those sometimes, but as a starting point that needs (sometimes lengthy) investigation to know if I'm listening to obscure but real stories or the next round of BS propaganda. They're usually awful, full of mistakes or misrepresentation paired with feigned naivete or ignorance, and are often created by foreign agencies that use the computer voice to hide their accents. When I do visit those rabbit holes, I excuse myself by pretending I'm only getting prepared to contradict it with fact when someone uses it in a discussion....but that assumes I'll follow up with the investigation.

I'll get back to you after reading, but i actually cringed when my dad sent me a video read by some computer generated voice he said he listens to daily.

No, I don't talk as if there has never been an amendment. It doesn't even make sense to suggest that since I'm referring to the 2nd Amendment.

Changing the constitution is very difficult. It was made that way on purpose. Article 5:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_Five_of_the_United_States_Constitution

"Only inaction and unsupported, unpopular opposition has prevented the government from effectively regulating, not inability."

Whether you believe it is unsupported or unpopular has no bearing on anything. Just to be clear, I never wrote or implied they don't have the ability, only that the constitution prevents "government from effectively regulating arms."

The party in power may not fully represent your views, or the views of the people who directly support the party, no party ever does. But enough Americans wanted them in, and not the opposition who resoundingly lost, that they rule the roost. Considering how many Americans don't vote there is no such thing as a majority of Americans - there can only be a majority of those who vote. And this is not a measure for winning an election. The measure for winning is electoral college votes. The rules were set, one side played it better, the other side lost and whined about the rules.

I'll answer straight up. You. You are acting dumb. And paranoid. I don't know who those people are. Your "popular opinion" of what? I literally gave links to authoritative statistics for anything under contention. You need to see someone about your mental state.

Try to make people feel welcome. There is a reason this website is sinking into obscurity (look at the rankings).

You talk as if there's never been an amendment, or you don't understand how they work. 98% support is far more than needed.

The founders foresaw this sort of issue, and created a constitution that can evolve with the culture. Only inaction and unsupported, unpopular opposition has prevented the government from effectively regulating, not inability.

That's the thing about having a party in control that doesn't represent the majority (edit: or even the vast majority of their own supporters), the will of the people is neutered.

Duh.
