Seattle cop kills nonthreatening pedestrian

Yes. Which this wasn't. >> ^gwiz665:

No charges are going to be filed because although it was a "tragic mistake" the shooting was "in good faith" and "without malice."
What the holy hell is going on in the police academies these days?

How do you shoot someone without malice?

We're gonna stack up like we're breaching and clearing! That's what we're going to do!

Let's breach and clear that non existent door!

The shooting was a "good faith mistake, however tragic" and no charges would be filed, Satterberg said.

It was a good faith mistake! Go fuck yourself Satterberg. This fucking guy. Killing someone, unjustly, is manslaughter at the least if not murder.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

I'd love to turn VideoSift into a nonprofit. I had some chats with @Krupo a while back about this a while back - unfortunately inertia got the better of me.

Not to interrupt your shit slinging w throbbin but I wasn't at home when u posted the state of the sift sifttalk post. Anyway I wondered if having a nonprofit status was an option at all. I don't know exactly what the implications would be legally but as far as I know, to become a nonprofit you have to provide a social, educational, religious, or cultural service for no charge.

You would still be able to sell ad space and I've heard of schools selling ads on like tests. We'd be able to take advantage of all kinds of non for profit perks like goodsearch.com and skip out on taxes etc. Just a thought that deserves some consideration IMHO.

Man Faces Charges After Tackling Teen Prankster

No charges for the teen? They went to the back door. What about trespassing?

Typically, unless you have something posted, you can't get someone on trespassing until a warning is issued. "Get off my lawn", if not, then trespassing can be brought into the courts. Even if he has a sign, you can't kidnap someone who did trespass, you can only use violence to prevent it or to defend yourself. You couldn't chase them off your property then shoot them in other words, once they have left your property your authority over them vanishes.

Police Brutality in Victoria, BC.

therealblankman says...

canada.com article can be read here... http://www.canada.com/technology/Victoria+police+investigate+video+showing+officer+kicking/2718284/story.html

8 people were apparently fighting outside a bar in downtown Victoria, 3 police officers broke up the fight and attempted to arrest those involved. This video obviously captures events near the end of the incident. All those involved in the altercation were released with no charges. Victoria Police started an investigation into the conduct of their officers as of today, March 23 2010 after the video started making the rounds on the net.

pedals work more like an accelerator pedal of how fast you want to go, not the actual source of power.
it's kinda "bike-by-wire" system.
