Joe Biggs got 17 years and Dominic Pezolla got 10 for sedition and right wing social media lit up like a Xmas tree complaining how unfair it was, I bet Trump even made a statement about pardoning them (that’s another 14th amendment violation invalidating Trump), but for their dark skinned leader who wasn’t even present at Jan 6 (because he had been arrested for theft and arson of BLM property for stealing a banner from a church and burning it), for Enrique there’s silence…not angry crying and whining like the white guys got.
I wonder why? What’s different about Enrique from the other white defendants that would make his sentence acceptable to MAGA, even funny, while the others that actually committed the seditious violence got far less time and are considered martyrs and heroes?

BTW- it bears noting that the proud boys all refused plea deals that would have gotten them less than 1/2 the prison terms. 😂

The president submits his budget to congress, they rubber stamp it mostly, then send it back for presidential approval. The president controls it more than congress, start to finish, they only make changes the president must approve.
The president has enormous discretionary spending abilities too.

The president can make presidential orders, emergency declarations, reappropriation, and other ploys to get around congressional approval for spending. Remember that wall Mexico was paying for...how did it eventually get funded, (hint, not through the congressionally approved budget. He reappropriated funds for active duty family housing)

Edit: and now we're both right, as just yesterday the 9th circuit court decided Trump declaring an emergency at the border was a farce, his own DOJ numbers proved there was no need, no emergency, no caravans a comin, and that his misappropriation of the funding was unconstitutional....but I'm not a bit sure how that makes a difference since he already spent most of it. It's not back to background levels everywhere, with measurements up to 336uSv/hr recorded in enclosed areas and abandoned recovery equipment (the claw used to dig at the reactor for instance)....no where near that low at the plant itself. Places like the nearby cemetery which couldn't have the contamination removed still measure higher than maximum occupational limits for adults working with radioactive material. The radiation levels in the worst-hit areas of the reactor building, including the control room, have been estimated at 300Sv/hr, (300,000mSv/hr) providing a fatal dose in just over a minute.

I've got zero issue with the action in the video. Citizen rights are inviolate. However, the action shown is one piece of a huge apparatus and body of work ENABLING the flaunting of American laws and regulations. That is the hero of this video's actual JOB. Obstruction justice. Well, I can't say for certain, but if I was designing it, the signal wouldn't be the same every time. Basically, you would have an algorithm that generates a signal (essentially a large number encoded as a binary stream) based on a seed and the current time.

The seed is unique to the car and the key.

So when you press the button, the key does something like

so the car would do something like

That's obviously a vast oversimplification (not sure how they'd get around the time sync), but you get the idea.

What surprises me here is not that the car starts, but that it doesn't cut out once it gets out of range of the key. Even a strong relay would only have a short range (1-2km at most?).

Eh, I dunno. Neat overall, and since it's the opening sequence it can probably be forgiven to an extent, but there was too much self-indulgent tech wanking going on IMO. I also worry that there is a little too much first person shooter going on in my space shooter. While it was very cool in the previous Wing Commander games that you could go to different areas of the ship and talk to the crew between missions, all you had to do to get around was click on doors and people. Actually having to walk your character around a big ship to activate the cut scenes is going to get old unless they find creative ways to keep it fresh. We will see. I just worry there is a lack of focus on core gameplay in favor of putting features in there just because they can. A lack of a focused vision and direction seems like it's the achilles heal of the whole Star Citizen project.

Counter-rotating propellers sparked my curiosity when I first saw them on a British Seafire Mk46 at a flight show in the early nineties.

So my amateur's answer would be that it's about the problem of turning the engine's power into thrust. With increasing power, you can either increase the propeller's RPM or its area. So you either a) spin it faster, b) increase its diameter, c) use a more favourable blade geometry, d) add more blades.

a) and b) both lead to blade tips moving faster, and once they approach the speed of sound, wave drag sets in and ruins your day. b) also runs into issues in terms of ground clearance. Thus the Kim Jong-un blades on planes like the An-70: short and fat.

c) is rather difficult to do in terms of manufacture -- that's why more pronounced blade shapes are a relatively recent development.

d) on a single propeller decreases the efficiency of each blade as it passes through the previous blade's vortex. That's why, for instance, German planes in WW2 almost exclusively relied on 3-bladed propellers with increasing blade size, whereas Supermarine went to four and even 5 blades rather quickly. You can work the issue to a certain degree by modifying the blade geometry, thus the 8 blade props on a modern A400M.

Adding more blades by adding another propeller gets around d), although the aft prop still loses efficiency compared to the front prop. On the other hand, counter-rotating props massively reduces problems with torque, which can be rather horrendous for single engine prop planes. The Bf 109, for instance, is (in)famous for being difficult during take-off as it pulls to the side quite violently.
