Chicago's "Defund The Migrants”

newtboy says...

Prosecute the governors who are illegally transporting the migrants across state lines, and the drivers. It’s a federal felony Abbot is guilty of a few tens of thousands of times.

SB 1718 provides that the knowing and willful transport of an adult immigrant whom the transporter knows or reasonably should know to be undocumented will constitute a third-degree felony. Five or more separate offenses during a single episode will constitute a second-degree felony.

If you are arrested for illegally transporting an undocumented alien, you could face up to ten (10) years in federal prison…prosecute and end the illicit transportation facilitation.

Fund border control if you want fewer immigrants. Fund immigration courts if you want them to come legally. MAGA refuses to try either, @bobknight33…the Trump fence is a failure….a total waste of over $30 billion that hasn’t slowed immigration by one person. If that $30 billion was put into agents and courts, we could have a secure border today and a functioning immigration system.

Why aren’t we prosecuting the governor of Texas and the bus drivers for transporting undocumented immigrants across state lines? It’s a federal crime. Every single one is a full year to ten in prison, and he’s sent thousands. WTF Garland, do your job.

BTW- @bobknight33…many of these refugees are climate refugees, fleeing areas made nearly unlivable by climate change. Others flee narco terrorism funded by America’s unquenchable thirst for more drugs and our willingness to arm the world.

ADG Filler #59 - Sound Blaster Revisions

ant says...

Yep. I only had the recent SB sound cards because of their EAX support in games. Since I don't really game and don't have PCI slots to use my Audigy 2ZS, I just use the crappy onboard sound (e.g, RealTek).

Wow this video brought back a lot of nostalgia.
I remember having a 2.0, 16, and an Audigy. Can't remember if I had any others, but my current system has a Zx model.

I miss the old EAX effects the cards could produce, as the modern OpenAL drivers just don't produce the same quality.

DAIRY IS F**KING SCARY! The industry explained in 5 minutes

eoe says...

It's not all dairy farms, but it's most. See http://www.ers.usda.gov/media/430528/err47b_1_.pdf or page 7 of http://usda.mannlib.cornell.edu/usda/nass/sb/sb978.pdf (note my requirement of .edu not some blowhard blogger).

Namely:
The number of dairy farms with fewer than 500 cows (your "good places") has decreased significantly and the number with more than 500 has increased majorly. And those farms with more than 500 account for 50% of the milk made.

So, yeah. There are some good farms out there. But the number is shrinking and they're unable to compete with the large factory farms.

Also, from one of the docs cited above:
In 2000, about 71.1 percent of production came from
operations of 100 or more cows, up from 55.2 percent
in 1993. Production from the smallest herds, not a
large share to begin with, fell by about half—from 4.1
to 2 percent

Rather than refute any of the other claims above, I'll just leave it at this. I have vegan exhaustion. My point is that these aren't just made up vegan facts from PETA, these are studies by the USDA.
